I presently live in the very north coastal mountains of California near Eureka Ca. Son of Walter N. Beene I, Grandson of William O Beene, G-Grandson of Obediah Frnnklin Beene of the 5th Miss. Infantry during the Civil War. Two children, Ethan Obediah, and Katrin Elisis Beene, both graduates of Humboldt State University of Arcata, Ca. My GrandMother was Annie Mae Beene, who married my Grandfather William Henry Moody and lived in Parker Co. Tx. She was born in Parker Co. Tx in 1895. Her Father was Jackson Beene and Mother was Sally Wright all of Parker Co. Tx. My GreatUncle Obie Beene is going to be 106 years old on Dec. 17, 2005. He stills in Weatherford Parker Co. Texas 76086.

I was on RootsWeb and read about the SBA, so I thought I would check it out. As we say in the US Navy, "WELL DONE". I am a descendant of Amy Ann BEAN and Rev. Tidence LANE through their son John Fuller LANE, born 1802, married Permelia POSEY. Their son Benjamin Franklin LANE born 1842, married Hannah Almeda BALES. Their daughter Armina Ora LANE, born 1870 (my grandmother) married Charles Aquilla Elliott. Their son Carl D. ELLIOTT, born 1899 married Bertha Elizabeth O'CONNOR. I am their fifth child, Ronald Lane ELLIOTT, born 1928.

I stumbled across this site while helping my almost 11-year-old son with a school project - wow! My dad is Charles Beene; his father was Marion Beene (1908-79); his father was Joseph Beene (1880-1962); his father was Thomas Beene (1843-1917); his father was John Bean (b. 1803); and his father was John Bean (b. 1778).
