I have a picture of Emmaline Bean on this url with family pictures.http://www.myfamily.com/isapi.dll?SiteID=ocUG&ContentClass=PICT&c=content&htx=list Emmaline is the lady standing in the back. I have not been able to find who her parents were, only that she did live in Arkansas for a while. The little boy on the left is my grandfather who was born in 1886 and he looks like he was about 5 or 6 in the picture. No date was on the picture.

What a nice "find"...another Bean family site. My husband's Bean family begins with Lemuel Bean in VT. His son Richard Lemuel Bean migrated through NY, MI and on to Chickasaw county, IA. Richard L.'s son Richard Rufus Bean is my husband's GG-Grf. I have lots of family information and some pictures to share if anyone is interested. We have hit a dead end on Lemuel Bean in VT, so any help would be welcome. Thanks! And thank you too for a great site. Good work!

Posting a second time, as I forgot to mention my ancestry!

I am the gr-gr-granddaughter of William Bean and Rachel Wiseman, who settled in Monroe County, West Virginia 1804 (then was Greenbrier County, Virginia.) Their son, William, Jr. married Margaret Parkins, and had my grandfather, John Monroe Bean, Sr. He married Mary Faudree and had my Dad, Walter Maxwell Beane. (Spelling changed from Bean to Beane after my grandfather's death in 1954.) I am the eldest of Walter and Lois Dreher. Descendants of William and Rachel have a yearly (or bi-yearly) reunion. 2001 is being held in Waiteville, West Virginia, just a couple of miles from William and Rachel's homeplace (still standing and lived in!), on August 4, beginning at 12 noon at the school house in Waiteville. Anyone a descendant? PLEASE JOIN US!!!

I am the fourth and last son of Mildred Orlina Beene and Norman H. Fant Sr. My grandmother was Elizabeth Bean Beene and my grandfather was Samuel Cincinatus Beene. My mother was raised partly in North Chattanooga, Tn. and moved to Soddy/Daisy Tn. as a young girl. If anyone has a link to the past for me I would appreciate it. My mother is failing in health, so her memory is failing as well. I am registered with the first families of Tennesse and very proud of my heritage. I would also like to know where John Bean's people were from. Does anyone have any certain history on his roots to Europe? Thanks - Norman
